Trying to come up with hands-on activities for graphing can be challenging- so we wanted to create something that would be easy, fun, and engaging for our students and yours. Our kiddos loved this activity and yours will too. Leaf graphing is fun and engaging for all ages.
Leaf graphing is so much fun for 1st and 2nd graders. They love collecting the leaves as much as they like graphing them.

HOW TO IMPLEMENT:
1. The kiddos bring a zip lock bag full of different colorful fall leaves. They can collect from their yard, park, or anywhere they can.
Try to bring the colors: red
yellow
orange
brown
green
>I also bring leaves in myself to have extra leaves for any student that did not get to bring or send as many.
>Sometimes we collect them around the school grounds because we have trees around our school. So that might be a possibility for your lesson.

2. Print out the free printable below for each student.

3. Students take their leaves out and lay them in stacks of the same color- then graph using the same crayon color.
