And a Little Fairy Dust....

Let’s be honest—every now and then, we all could use a touch of “fairy dust” to keep things running smoothly in the classroom. That’s where the Desk Fairy comes in! These magical little helpers were designed to give teachers a fun and uplifting way to sprinkle some positivity and encouragement into their primary classrooms. Want to see how it works? Now It’s Time to Spot Those Magical Helpers!
Once you’ve introduced your classroom fairy and shared the special note, it’s time to start looking for those shining stars!

When you notice someone doing a great job keeping their desk neat and tidy, leave one of the fairy’s notes on their desk while they’re away—during lunch, recess, or specials works perfectly.

I love to sprinkle a little glitter on the note for extra magic, and sometimes I add a tiny surprise—though that part is totally optional! Some fun reward ideas include: candy, fun stickers, cool pencils, colorful erasers, scented markers, party trinkets from Target, Walmart, or Dollar Tree, or even classroom coupons!

With a little sparkle and mystery, this magical motivator will have your kiddos eager to stay organized and ready for a fairy visit!

How to Respond When Students Don’t Believe

There will always be skeptics. I still remember in first grade, hearing other kids insist the Tooth Fairy wasn’t real — but I chose to believe anyway. As a teacher, when students challenge the magic and claim the fairy doesn’t exist, I have one go-to response:

“Well, I don’t think the Tooth Fairy bothers visiting kids who don’t believe in her.”

Simple, effective, and usually all it takes!
