This is my favorite time of the year. The season starts to change. Not too hot and not too cold. Halloween is just around the corner. My son loves Halloween. I think it’s because his birthday is October 27. He will be 11 years old this year. I love this age with him. He’s getting into that cool stage but yet he still wants to be around mom and the family. I better live it up now. I know that will change in a few years. I love decorating the house for the fall and seeing all the beautiful orange and greens around. The smell of pumpkin in the air, and our annual trip to the pumpkin patch. You just can’t beat it!! We just had our spirit week this week and wanted to show you our school spirit.
What this season also brings about is Parent Teaching Conference. Ours is next week and we are gearing up for it. I wanted to share a document that I use as a reminder of our PTC. Another good thing to do is schedule times to meet with parents. This is always helpful when talking to parents. I know which parent is coming and what time so I can get everything ready for that student. It also lets me know who is not coming so they know that they will be hearing from me either by phone or another meeting. I always try to talk to each child’s parent because I know that it is important to keep the communication lines open at all times and let parents know the progress that their child is making. I also know that parents are busy people and sometimes it’s hard to come see me when you have other kids to take care of and other teachers to go see. One night is not enough, so a simple phone call will do the trick in most cases.
I put 3 on one sheet to save paper. We’ve got to save the trees some days. Hope you find this helpful. Hope you are having a wonderful week so far!!!
